Monday, May 25th is the date that people in the United States observe the Memorial Day Holiday. Memorial Day is a United States federal holiday observed every year on the last Monday of May. This day honors U.S. men and women who died while in the military service.

American Work Adventures will be closed on this day
All government offices (i.e. Social Security, Department of Motor Vehicles, etc.) will also be closed on this day
Flight tickets, bus tickets, and hotels will be more expensive over the holiday weekend - May 23rd to May 25th
The AWA 24 Hour Emergency Phone can be called if students have EMERGENCIES while the office is closed. Any matters that are not real emergencies (i.e. job placements, travel arrangements, DS Forms, SEVIS validations, etc.) will not be handled outside of regular business hours. These concerns will be addressed on Tuesday May 26th when office hours resume.
