Entering the U.S. - Ground Transportation |
|
|
|
- Depending on the job you have chosen, your ground transportation from the airport to your housing/work site may or may not be arranged for you.
- If ground transportation is arranged by your employer, make sure you inform your employer of your exact travel itinerary at least 2 weeks prior to arrival.
- As soon as your flights are booked, submit your travel details to AWA. Click here to Submit Travel Details
- Travel with your employer’s contact information easily accessible so that you can notify them immediately of all changes and/or delays.
- If ground transportation is not arranged by your employer, you will want to spend the time researching how you will get from the airport to your housing/work before you leave home. Depending on the area, ground transportation options could be hard to find, expensive, or require advance reservations.
- No matter what, after an international flight, you will be very tired upon arrival to the U.S. – make getting to your housing/work site as easy on yourself as possible by planning ahead.
- Please use this Travel Planning Worksheet to help you along this process.
